Gratitude Determines Altitude

We often complain even at the slightest thing and largely unconsciously not even really being aware of it and gossip absolutely falls into the same category of complaining. It’s simply the difference between complaining about someone versus complaining about something and then we wonder why we often feel depressed.

We are ultimately our own drug and there are many things we could avoid and do instead in order to manufacture a kind of high that’s long lasting.

One such practice that begins to eradicate negativity at its core is holding an attitude of gratitude that will absolutely determine your altitude. Essentially what I am referring to here is looking for things to be grateful and or constantly expressing your gratitude for life.

When you do you cannot feel anything but amazing and obviously when practiced sincerely.

The fundamental point here is that you can’t be grateful and complain they are two totally different frequencies.

When you consider the fact that life is actually just a string of lessons and blessings there is no other way forward than to be grateful. Every challenge or hardship is always shaping you for the next big chapter in your life and without going through certain aspects of your life you wouldn’t be in a position to do or see the way you do now.

Everything is always shaping us, every conversation and every set of circumstances we encounter is generally a lesson and if you learn something about you or the world as a result of that experience that in itself is a blessing especially when you are learning about you and how best to respond to the world.

Regret therefore is NOT an option if you are to be grateful because then there is still something within that experience that you are not grateful for having and or perhaps you learnt nothing from the experience and therefore can’t find anything in it to be grateful for. Although the latter is generally a cop out, when asking yourself what is this situation trying to teach me? I guarantee you, you’ll absolutely get answers you looking for and then you got something to be grateful for.

If you genuinely want to feel happy on the whole there’s two things that you can start with,

1) Become aware of any and all negative language you use and 2)  Be grateful for everything no matter what it is. Be grateful for every experience for they are all here to serve you and you are meant to have it..

How do I know this?

You wouldn’t be having it if you weren’t 🙂
